The Project Manager at Great Northern Builders is responsible for keeping projects organized, efficient, and moving forward from start to finish. This role requires someone proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership. You'll be the main point of contact during the construction phase, coordinating with clients, trade partners, and the rest of the GNB team to deliver exceptional results. Remodeling can be unpredictable. The right person will stay composed, communicate clearly, and keep projects moving with professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of assigned projects from pre-construction through completion.
- Coordinate and communicate daily with clients, trade partners, and team members.
- Keep project schedules on track and hold trades accountable for quality, safety, and cleanliness.
- Balance diplomacy with assertiveness, maintaining strong relationships while enforcing standards.
- Assist Project Developers during estimating and planning as needed.
- Review, verify, and parse project invoices and bills for accuracy.
- Perform carpentry and hands-on tasks as required, this is a tool belt company, and every PM contributes.
- Oversee job site setup, protection, and cleanliness.
- Order, track, and manage materials; handle pickups, returns, and deliveries.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and progress photos in JobTread.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Enforce job site safety and uphold company standards at all times.
Qualification
- Minimum 5 years of residential construction experience, including hands-on carpentry.
- Minimum 2 years of project management experience in remodeling or building preferred.
- Highly organized and able to juggle multiple priorities without losing sight of the big picture.
- Clear, professional communicator who can hold others accountable with respect.
- Able to insist on schedules, cleanliness, and quality while remaining patient and professional.
- OSHA or safety training a plus.
- Reliable transportation and an excellent driving record.
- Comfortable using technology and learning new systems.
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks and working in varying conditions.
- Willing to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.

Salary & Benefits
- Full-time, W-2 Employee
- Starting salary: $65,000+ (commensurate with experience) plus discretionary bonuses.
- Paid Time Off: 2 weeks to start; additional PTO after 2 years (per Time Away Preparedness Procedure).
- Paid Holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving + Friday after, Christmas Day, and half-day Christmas Eve (when applicable).
